Using both standardized and non-standardized assessments to identify your child’s strengths, areas of need, and unique sensory profile. This comprehensive evaluation details fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, bilateral integration, sensory modulation, and their impact on daily functional skills.
Caregivers are encouraged to review findings with the therapist and collaborate on goals for OT intervention, if recommended.
It is highly recommended that before starting intervention, the OT evaluate to ensure OT goals are developmentally appropriate, achievable, and measurable.
45 Minutes - Sensory Integrative OT Intervention, including caregiver trainings and education … all in the comfort of your own home or community setting! Therapy sessions are individualized to your child’s unique central nervous system, using evidence-based, play-based activities focused on developing emotional regulation, coping mechanisms, and functional life skills. Care is neuro-affirming, family-first, compassionate, and strength-building.
30-minute Telecommunication (zoom or phone) caregiver consultations are available. Caregivers will be able to ask questions, discuss specific concerns, and learn how to support nervous systems to improve participation, emotional regulation, and function for their child or teenager. Topics include, but not limited to: Sensory strateiges to improve emotional regulation and participation, Environmental Modification and Task Accomodations, and Co-regulation education and training.
